Is This Week Over Yet?

Any relaxation gained from our 4-day weekend last week was gone by 8AM on Monday morning. Work was totally crazy this week. One big project after another. With two of my managers out, I got their work too and it was not the week to get extra work. Thought today might be slow but after another 8AM conference call another two huge projects were thrust on me. I thank god for our great support help. Without Maria and Tim I might as well keel over and die. You might wonder why at 10PM at night I am still on the computer since work was so busy, well, it is because I am entering my address book/contacts on our brand new computer. Brian and I's early Christmas gift to each other. The screen I am currently looking at is giganto and the keyboard is nice and slick with square keys. I can't wait to surf around and see what other cool things this computer has to offer. Today, I said good-bye to my "swingers" reference aka the chevy cavalier. I donated it to a children'

"I like THomas"

It's quite early in the morning in Sanger and I am still waiting for my hubby to get out of bed before we meet up with MoMo and Faith for lunch today. Those are Clayton's names for his grandparents. Steve is NoNo and Rosemary is YaYa. Then Grandpa Louie's is the Italian word for Beast. I must say little Clayton is amazingly smart. I am not being biased. He's only two and he can talk up a storm and he knows where and what everything is. We were driving in the car and he pointed out a water tower by name. He is really into Thomas the Train. Everytime he walks into a room he says I like Thomas so I only thought it appropriate that I name this Sanger blog by that name. Thanksgiving was tasty and filling as usual. Had dinners at the Cardoza's and the Rusca's. The only thing about going to people's dinners is that there are no left overs for you. I have been craving a thick turkey sandwich with mustard with a side of green bean casserole. Perhaps I will have

Thanksgiving & Horses

HORSES, HORSES, HORSES We made friends with these fellows in Michigan. See visual proof that Brian's royal gems were bitten! Anyhoo, I wanted to share these with you guys because tomorrow is Brian and I's 4 year "dating" Anniversary! It was on Thanksgiving a few years ago that my gem, Brian and I got together during a trip to Sanger.

Two Birthdays

My sista-in-law, Holli's big day is Wednesday and my dear, father, Rich's is on Turkey Day on Thursday. Brian and I are heading to Sanger sometime in the wee hours of Thursday morning. Not sure when the hubby will get off of work. All depends on if the day shift guys will leave early so Brian can go in and finish up before his normal 6AM finish time. The Sanger folks might need to prop our heads up at the dinner table cuz either Brian or I will be tired (if we leave at Midnight I will sleep in the car and if we leave at 6am Brian will sleep in the car). I got my big pants ready and I can't wait to eat all of my Sanger meals. In preparation for the various family feasts, Brian and I baked and baked and baked yesterday. Thank you to all the people who contributed to our wedding loot and gave us the most amazing and totally awesome bake ware. I must say that kitchen mixer is a little piece of heaven. I am definitely using that puppy over and over again. We made 1 giganti

Happy Birthday Miguel

Stranded

On the way to Detroit we had to taxi back into the terminal because the navigational system on the plane wasn't working. After 2 hours we finally swapped planes and took off to Detroit. Guess what happened on the way back? The same thing! Is it too much to ask that an airline have working navigational systems and to get people to where they are going on time? Navigational systems aside, I had a good time in Michigan. After arriving 3 hours late on Thursday morning we meet up with the Rusca's. On the way to Matt's house Brian and I decided we were hungry and stopped at White Castle for mini burgers. Brian had never had the famous burgers and Jung had taken the trouble to map quest the location for us so we stopped. Nothing like meat at 10:30 in the morning! We got to Matt's house and can you believe, it was actually snowing! Gratefully, it was just a small flurry. After the tour of his house, cat naps were needed and then it was time to to feed the horses. Matt

Happy Birthday Rosemary!

Happy Birthday Rosemary! Off to Michigan tonight to see my baby brother get married. Meeting up with the Rusca's in Detroit.

Hanging with the Hommies

This weekend I was able to catch up with Krueger, Montez, Regul, minus his lady who is in India for work (how cool!) and Toby. Friday night I caught up with Krugs and we watched RENDITION at The Grove. Overall, I liked the movie but wasn't sure what point the director was trying to make. Like Gone Baby Gone (but Affleck's movie is better) the film presented two sides to a situation but never choosing a side. I guess this is meant to get people talking but I felt dissatisfied by both, as I felt we never really got closure on any of the characters. And after everything all the characters went through in both films I wanted better closure! After the movie, Krugs and I got some food at Genghis Cohen, only the yummiest Jewish Chinese Food in LA! Brian and I went on our first date there and have been going back ever since. Krugs believe it or not, had never been there. A few blocks from CBS where she has been working forever and she had never been there! I find that hard to b

Clayton Does Halloween

For those of you that know Clayton, here is a pictorial update on the little cutie that is our nephew. I am told he and his friends love BOB THE BUILDER and THOMAS THE TRAIN hence their costume choices. Here are pictures of Clay and his buddy (I think Val's son)trick or treating in his neighborhood. All I have to say is that is a really large candy bucket. Its almost as big as him. I wonder if he got it full of treats?
