A Surprise 4 Me?

I don't open my door for anyone these days after some unsay experiences and well, for safety purposes since some people near us were killed a few years back. I knew someone was at my door thanks to Moses so I asked who was there and there was no reply. So I looked out my window and I saw a man carrying flowers. So I opened the door and well, color me speechless...some pretty flowers were delivered just for me! I looked at the card and Krueger, my good friend, who is always late had sent me some belated flowers with the following note: "An EP just told me everyone should get flowers on their 40th (I didn't know that, but seems sound). Made me think of you. In case you didn't get any last year, Happy 40th (plus 12 months...heehee)!!! - Krueger.

School Chum Playdate

P's Summer Camp came to a close and there is a week in-between camp and school so some of the parents got together to plan playdates. P and I attended the Natural History Museum playdate with her school chums Andres and Benjamin. We have been to the museum many times but today there was a special exhibit on flying dinosaurs that was especially cool. They had these interactive games that allowed the children to pretend to fly like a dinosaur. We spent a lot of time in this exhibit and then had lunch and then spent a ton of time playing in the water fountains where all three kids got completely soaked but they are kids so they didn't care.

Ultimate Disney Fan

It's been 24 days since I've checked into East Coast magic. Good to be back to the home base!

Disneyland's Trader Sam's

Many moons ago, I used to work for AMC Theatres. It's going on 20 years since I've been an employee and that is about how long it was since I saw this lady, Theresa, who used to be a Senior Manager. We are both Disney enthusiasts so she wrote me and said to let her know when I would be there next so we could catch up. She didn't have an AP anymore so we decided to meet up at DownTown Disney at Trader Sam's, a really cool family friendly Tiki Bar. We had a blast catching up and she even managed to get me to plan our 20 year reunion which will be taking place in November this year. Good Times and good drinks! P.S. I am posting a picture of today's Disneyland treat, the peanut butter sandwich which recently made it's return to the parks after taking a break.

In A Band

when I was little I used to pretend I as in a band. I'd get all the neighborhood kids to come over and we wouldn't even sing just discuss about starting a band. Well, for my friend Jung, being in band is a reality. He is in a 3 man band and plays gigs around LA for fun. His band is called Some Gifts and this marketing girl thinks they have some catchy tunes. For once they were playing at a family friendly spot called The Frog Spot along the LA River and not at a an adults only bar so I was able to take P. We meet up with some members of 81st Street and e had a good time supporting our friend.
