My Little Animal!

Baby Girl is in love with all animals right now! From animal books, to plastic animals, to the zoo! Here she got to do her two favorite things, play in the laundry basket while playing with animals.

April Mommy Club

This month, Mommy Club was held at Sian and Laura's house. Sian and her family are living here on visas from the United Kingdom. Her hubby works at Warner Bros. Sian, Erika, Alicia and Karla all live across the street from each other. Talk about convenient! They babysit for each other and see each other quite a bit. Kinda makes me want to move closer to the Mommy Network! This time, only Erika (with Rebecca) and I could make the meet up but that was okay as three babies are still quit a bit to handle! Sian lives on a gigantic hill so it was quite the time to get up the steep stairs but once we got up it was fun. Poor Erika, who is 7 months pregnant needed some help to get up the stairs. I don't know how Sian manages it each and everyday with two small children! Anyhoo, I still can't get over how we all had baby girl's so close together. It will make it fun for the girls growing up. I live the farthest away which is about 2 blocks. I will have to get our new neig

Spoon Action

Today we met up with Hubby's cousin to give her and her new husband their wedding gift. We were unable to attend their wedding two weeks ago and wanted to make sure they got our gifts. Since they were going to be at Universal Studios for the day we met up with them at a local breakfast spot to hand off the gifts. While we waited for them we had some fun with Baby Girl. Daddy gave her some jam to try and one of her favorite things is drinking water from a straw. Not sucking from the straw but rather mommy or daddy taking a straw full of water and feeding it to Baby Girl. I think it makes her feel like a bird.

Today Is The Day

Today is the day I will remember as being the day I was diagnosed with diabetes. I so didn't want my test results to come back this way but it wasn't a surprise considering my mother and grandmother's battles with high blood sugar. Now I must begin the process of changing my diet forever. Good bye sweets and hello moderation and tiny bites.

Sprinkler Fun

Baby Girl and Grandma had a ton of fun playing in the sprinklers several of the days while they were visiting. Here is picture of Baby Girl.

Goin' To See The Horsies

While my parents were in town recently, some friends suggested that we visit the race track. well, it just so happened that the next day was the Closing Day of the year so we hoped in the car and headed on over to check things out. Hubby and i hadn't been there in many years and it was all new to Baby Girl. Since she is fascinated with all things animals at this this stage of her development, we thought she might enjoy seeing the horses. We were right! She loved the whole experience! Here are some photos.

Tam O'Shanter

The Tam has gotten to be a favorite hangout. So it was only natural that when my parents came for a visit we take them to The Tam. But the real reason for the visit was to introduce my parents to Baby Girl's babysitters (Dave & Verona) and to also, introduce them to Sandy. Oddly, none of them had met before. So after a good long nap, we met up with everyone for a late afternoon lunch in the pub area. We all had a great time. My parents really enjoyed meeting everyone and Baby Girl had a good time seeing all her favorite people. Here is a picture of her in one of her many trips walking one of us around the restaurant. All the staff got to know her during her adventures around the place.

Grandparent Fun

I haven't seen my parents since last summer when they came out to CA and we took a big road trip up north. This time there was no road trip but it was nice to spend time with them at home. Plus, it was super nice not to have to work. Plus, plus, it was super nice that hubby didn't have to work!! So not only did we get to visit with them but we got to sleep in in the morning while they were here and go on three date nights! Talk about awesome!

103

Baby Girl scared the bejesus out of me this week when she came down with a really bad cold. The daycare called me and said she had a temperature of 102. The temperature got to 103 and stayed at 103, 104 for 48 hours. I never felt Baby Girl be so warm! She was sooo hot that we just took off all her clothes as she was a little heating machine.

No Fear

Baby Girl has no fear. She loves standing up on top of things that she shouldn't be standing up on. For instance, this laundry basket.

Infant Walk

There are not going to be too many more infant walks. Once Baby Girl moves over to the Toddler Room I won't get to meet up with her at the studio's park as they only take the babies out for walks. I am really bummed about that because some of my favorite time of the week was meeting up with Baby Girl at the park. This week Baby Girl discovers tree bark!

Who Needs Toys?

I am always worrying about whether Baby Girl has enough things to stimulate her active mind but really all a girl needs are items found around the house. I swear she has more fun playing with bowls, tupperware, cords, iPhones, cameras than her actual toys sometimes.

Toon Watchin'

Now here is a picture to look at. Look carefully, don't Baby Girl's feet look big?

Mac-n-Cheese Hair

Sometimes you just have to get into your food to really enjoy it!

Fun In A Box

Well, it's official! Baby Girl is now the oldest baby in the infant room at school. Liam, shown in these pictures below has moved over to the Toddler Room. Liam and Babu Girl have a hot/cold relationship. Probably more on the hot side. They are constantly fighting over toys. Not sure why but these too are always into it. Bye Liam! See you in a few weeks! As I was worried about Baby Girl being the oldest baby (all of the other babies are quiet younger) the teachers are going to be moving Baby Girl over to the Toddler Room on May 13th. So in 3 weeks my baby becomes a toddler! I am glad Baby Girl is going a little early because all of her friends she grew up with in the infant room are already there and frankly, there are way more activities over in that room. My active little girl will like it much better I think. It's funny to watch Baby Girl int he infant room because she is so much bigger than the 4, 5 month old babies. She is a great little helper to all

Pink Eye Scare

So Baby Girl has been battling ear infections since December. I just took her to the doctor yesterday for yet another ear infection when the daycare calls me today and says they think she has Pink Eye and that I need to take her to the doctor again for the second day in a row. Suffice to say, I was steaming mad because a) they never sent out a notice of pink eye in the first place and b) I could have asked the doctor yesterday to check her for pink eye. So we went to the again, and he gave her eye drops just in case something developed because he knew I was pissed at having to come yet again. AS I had already been taking off so much time for work for all of these doctor visits and I was extremely busy at work on a hot movie campaign, hubby asked MIL to come watch Baby Girl. You know what? Nothing ever appeared. I swear, sometimes the daycare just doesn't want to watch my kid. I got so pissed off I wrote the regional person a long a** note. Here is my long ramble. ***

Baby Girl Finds A Chocolate Bunny

After getting rid of all the chocolate in the house due to hubby's diet and my diabetes diet we thought we were clear and free of any temptations. So it was really funny when Baby Girl came out of her bedroom with a big peanut butter chocolate bunny in her hand and with one bunny ear clearly bitten off. Seeing as this was going to turn into a sticky goey mess hubby and I took her outside and had a big photo shoot with her as she walked around devouring her candy bar. I am trying my best not to give her too many sweets but alas when the girl finds abar on her own you just have to let her enjoy it. And enjoy it she did!

Car Accident

After taking long naps in the morning, the three of us decided to get out of the house. We were heading to the Glendale Galleria but that was closed. So we drove around eventually ending up in Atwater Village and getting boba and going to a farmers market. As it was still afternoon we decided to drive around some more and ended up at the Burbank Mall which was closed but open for the movie theatres. We went inside and Baby Girl had a blast walking all over the place. It was perfect because there wasn't anyone at the mall. As we left Burbank to get onthe freeway a big truck made a u-turn in front us. In order to miss him hitting us hubby had to swerve into the oncoming traffic lane with luckily had no traffic but the guy still clipped us in the back. It happened very quickly and it was scary but luckily everyone is okay. This is now the thrid time my Jeep needs a new bumper due to some crazy LA driver. Why don't people slow the heck down! Everyone is too into themselves

First Lollipop

Baby Girl's favorite babysitter brought her a little pink purse and some lollipops from See's as an Easter treat. The lollipop's were sitting on the counter while she was eating lunch and she grabbed one to try. As you can see from the pictures it was an interesting experience. Not sure if she is a fan of Orange Cream!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, March 30th, one day before Easter Baby Girl hosted an Easter Egg Hunt at the house. All of her good friends came by to help her find eggs. Even her best friend Logan, from daycare stopped by as well as her good buddy Olivia from the neighborhood. We started the morning with breakfast and then at noon all of the kids, 8 in total went hunting for plastic eggs with special prizes found in golden eggs and written on hard boiled eggs. It was so much fun to watch all of the kids go hunting.
