Christmas Isn't Over Yet!

This week has been crazy, what with getting ready for 150 delegates to fly into LA next week and the worldwide conference we are having at work. Been working late each night, so last night, I had to hightail it out of the office and get to my second job, cleaning, baking and general party preparing. The hub is throwing an After Christmas Holiday Party. Over the holidays we didn't get to see many friends so he put the whole thing together. Our frosted tree only has to make it one more day (its sagging a bit). He is making most of the appetizers for the shindig so he has been busy as well, but I have to clean house and bake my desserts and try and figure out how to organize the house to fit 20-30 people!! I was dog tired last night and still got up early today. What happened to the days of sleeping in? I long to be the hub and sleep whenever he wants. Anyhow, excitement is buzzing as we get ready to entertain a crowd at our house. This is the first time we have had s

Ever So Annoying!

Besides that stupid, stupid, dog that barks everyday is the ever so annoying postman or postwoman or person who delivers our mail. Today for the record billionth time, since moving to Eagle Rock, the mailperson delivered our mail wrong! This time they got the numbers right but they totally gave me mail for someone on a different street! Friggin' Loser! I mean, how hard is it to read an address and deposit the mail into the mail slot? It's not a very hard concept one would think, but apparently, it's the hardest thing in the world for our mail person! Lucky me, our mail person gets it wrong, oh, at least once a month! It's so bad, that the Post Master General of Eagle Rock now knows my name and she always says the same thing when I call, "Again? (with a sigh) I spoke to them about that last week." I guess I just have the stupidest mail carrier ever! Can someone reissue the United States Post office test to this person? I am curious as to what'

Double Features

It's been great seeing my hubby so much lately. He has had a couple of days off so we have been watching movies. We have caught a lot of double features. Here are my reviews. See it or Skip it. Revolutionary Road - Skip it. Too depressing and the story didn't explain how this couple got to the state they started the movie in so you don't really find yourself caring for either character. The only highlight was the crazy son of the Wheeler's friends. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - See it. Although I thought it was too much like Forrest Gump with Forrest Gump being the better version some of the camera moves and special effects are worth every penny. I have no idea how they made Brad Pitt look so old and so young so convincingly. Grand Torino - Definately see it! There is a rumor that this is Clint Eastwood's last film and for that alone you should see this legend's film. But the second reason is that it's a great film. Some classic Eastwood

Happy New Year! Welcome 2009!

Happy New Year Everyone!!! The hub and I partied it up at home this year. Due to his crazy, he never knows when he has to work schedule it made planning anything pretty much impossible. Though we had four cool choices. 1. Go with Susan and Kevin to New Orleans (now this would have been totally cool as I have never been there but would have required at the minimum four days off)) 2. Go to the Katy Perry Concert at Paramount (this required knowing what time time the hub got out of work). 3. Go to the Hinojosa's and party it up with them and the Bosgul's 4. Go to a friend's boyfriend's party in Santa Monica. Again, time problem on the last two. Anyhoo, the hubby did get out of work early after an apparently hectic day at work (everone on the show got fired - so the hub and the editors had to listen to screaming all day). So we stayed at home and raided the liquor cabinet which is once again full thanks to some Christmas presents we received. We had a bunch of f
