Penny-isms

Penny at 3 years old. Here is what she is doing or saying...The way she sings "Jingle Bells." "See, I told you!" Still saying "I did it!"  Still counting "1,2,8,10!" Penny likes to growl. Her BFF's are Olivia and Logan. Loves her cousins Jaxon and Lila. Favorite Disneyland ride is Haunted Mansion. Likes Hello Kitty, SpongeBob, Bo On The Go. Likes puzzles, dress up clothes, play dough. Likes playing or jumping on Moses.  She like dinosaurs and dragons. She watch Godzilla and liked it. Pretends there are sharks in the carpet. Still favors her pink Mickey Mouse crocs and always takes them off in the car. Doesn't like her clothes wet or dirty. Her sentences are more complex. She loves the playground especially climbing. Likes stretchy pants and no jeans. She is potty trained during day. Need to work on night.

Penny's First San Francisco Visit

After Christmas with hubby's family in Sanger, we drove up to San Francisco for two days of fun! We booked a hotel at the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf via Priceline which was new for us as we usually stay in Union Square. But now that we have a little one, Fisherman's Wharf seemed like a better location. We arrived in the afternoon and walked around looking for a good place to eat. The place my friend suggested was completely full so we were forced to find a new place. The new place consisted of a fish and chips stand and a pizza stand. Lunch was followed up with a visit to Ghiradelli Square where we stopped in the famous ice cream parlor for a sundae and a salted carmel hot coco. We did a bit of shopping before heading back to our hotel for a rest. We got in touch with Carmen and Toby and agreed to meet up at The Fairmont Hotel at the Tonga Room aka a really cool Hawaiian themed Tiki bar and restaurant. We agreed to meet at 7pm so at 6pm we took a cable car ride.

Merry Christmas 2014

We Drove to Sanger the morning of Christmas Eve. When we arrive the house was decorated beautifully and the neighborhood kids were there to greet us. Penny instantly reconnected with her cousin, Jaxon, who is 2 months younger than her and the two were inseparatable. Rosemary had been preparing dinner making the house smell so good with her BBQ ribs and filet Mignon. Va came over, as well as Uncle Neil and we had a fun evening. Sanger Santa was so generous. We all had fun opening presents!  Plus our stockings were filled to the brim with goodies. What a fun night!

Happy 39th!

Hubby turns 39 today. Only one more year left of our 30's and then we enter that mature adult age of the 40's! Yikes! Since this was also our first day of vacation, I thought it only proper we get full body massages. We followed those up with dessert at Pie Hole where I had a piece of pumpkin pie that was delicious but also had the distinction of having the thickest pie crust I have ever had on a pie. We followed up dessert with lunch at Umami burger and had $8 burgers that were on special. It was a tasty burger but I was so full from the pie I could only eat half. We came home to meet the pest control guy who checked our house for mice. Luckily his verdict was that we got the two that were having a party in our house. I really hope that is the case because after I took a flashlight and investigated around my house I was disgusted at how much they had partied. Luckily, our house cleaners come tomorrow. I will definitely be giving them some requests this time of where

Not So Jolly Santa

We waited a little too long to take Penny to see Santa this year. The Americana had a two hour wait. We just missed Santa at Disneyland so the weekend before Christmas we finally Tracked him down! Waiting in line...it was like Disneyland...an hour wait! This year, we took Penny to see Santa at the Santa Anita Mall. This Santa seemed really tired as there was something a little off about him. He wasn't so Jolly to see kids and Penny felt it.

Logan Play Date

It's been a few months but we finally caught up with Logan, her pal since 4 months old. It's so amazing to watch these two grow!!! They are getting so big. Penny often asks to see Logan and I am just so touched by that bond they share.

Christmas Cookies

I bought so many sprinkles for Penny's birthday party that I told my neighbor she should come over and make Christmas cookies with us. She agreed and this morning, her entire family including their dog came over for a cookie making playdate. Out goal was to make cut out cookies but yesterday I realized I didn't have any cookie cutters! So this morning I went down to the local JoAnn's and bought some cookie cutters. We ended up making gingerbread cookies and some non-cut-out sugar cookie drops. We had a really good time baking. Penny had fun rolling out the dough and using the cookie cutters. Even the dogs had fun chasing each other around the house.

"We're Not Gonna To Take It"...Anymore.

This has been the week of invasions. Mice, Sony Hacks, and yes, Covered California still plagues me. The mice will be dealt with. As for the movie that got closed down. I implore all my FB friends, much like what was done for Paranormal Activity years ago to DEMAND IT. Demand to see it. The theaters are scared thanks in part to crazy people who dress up in Batman costumes and do misdeeds. However, Sony and in fact, all of Hollywood should band together and pay for some SECURITY and let people see that movie. Cuz, if we don't its only a matter of time before another crazy does it to another distributor. As for Covered California, I begin my letter writing campaign to the government. Cuz, there are several things that are just not right.

Bullies

You know, I've seen, heard, and turn my head to a lot of craze ball things in this business. As I watch the events unfold it reminds me of the Japanese proverb, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil. This is a lot bigger than freedom of speech, the way I see it, it's about basic respect of other people. There have always been bullies but this just proves, there is always a bigger bully out there. You treat people with respect you get respect back. We all have differences but isn't it time to sit down and try to understand what other people are all about? These problems don't exist only in entertainment they exist everywhere you turn. You turn on the news and its all about people disrespecting others.

My Mother And I Gave Birth On The Same Day!

Happy Birthday to my daughter, Penny, who was born on the same day as my brother, Matt. Yes, my mom and I gave birth on the same day, just 33 years apart. Looking forward to Penny's PJ, Cake and Coco party later tonight with her little friends (Olivia, Dylan, and Jacqueline)!
