Oh What A Beautiful Morning

There is nothing like sleeping in really late, getting a good night's sleep and waking up to the sunshine to restore one's soul. Even Moses slept in. All three of us got up and had a good hike. Ran into some dogs and a bunch of couples walking their babies in strollers. Sometimes a girl needs a little bit of sun to pull her out of the dumps. Happy Sun-day everyone.

"It's The End of the World As We Know It"

And I wonder when Will Smith is coming to save us? I don't know about you but I look around this week and it looks like the world and it's morality is disintegrating. 7.0 Earthquake in Japan on Friday 8.8 Earthquake in Chile last night w/ tsunami warnings Tsunami warning in Hawaii An iceberg the size of Rhode Island broke off the Antartic this week Haiti is a mess A Killer Whale in captivity drowns a human (another reason why stupid humans shouldn't put a 12,000 pound animal in a pool). Iraq War STILL going on and no loyalty in the workplace.... :) Our moral compass as earthlings needs to be reset. It's time for people to reconnect to whatever entity/belief they follow or if they don't, to reconnect to their fellow man. Cuz, all this stuff looks like a signal to me. All you have to do is open your eyes to the global warming, the earthquakes, the extinction in animals, the dirty oceans, the homeless, the joblessness, the stock market, the war in Iraq and countless

I am just average

Dear The Man, Apparently, I am just an "average" girl. And if u knew what I was referring to you would understand why I am most upset. But for now....let me throw my anger out into the world so I can release some stress. Go f yourself, you ungrateful bunch of assholes! No more heart and soul from me. Sincerely, Average

Pinball Museum, Las Vegas

Part two of our weekend getaway to Las Vegas took us not to a casino but to another type of game. This morning after a bowl of cereal all 3 of us minus Moses, went to the Pinball Museum in Las Vegas. In a rented out ex-Circuit City there were rows and rows of games. We had a ton of fun playing all these old games. We worked up such an appetite we just had to grab some dim sum afterward. Then it was time to head back to LA.

Carnaval via Vegas

After a long day of geocaching and hiking in Red Rock Canon, Jung, Hubby and I were famished. So after a few options, the boys chose a Brazilian SteakHouse as the destination for dinner. We happened to go on a good night because we hit a Carnaval party and you know what that means...beads and masks. Here's some pictures.

Geocaching in Red Rock Canyon

This weekend we put Moses in the car and headed to Las Vegas, NV to see our friend Jung who lives there. It was the first time we have ever been to Vegas and didn't set foot in a casino. And actually, that was a really good thing. We had a great visit with our friend. On Saturday, we broke out hubby's new Christmas toy, a geocaching GPS thingy and took it out to Red Rock Canyon. Basically we went hunting for buried treasure. It was a fun day of hiking that took us all over the National Park. Here are some photos from our day long adventure.

IN HONOR OF HER BIRTHDAY

Hats off to you Krueger! Happy Birthday! Love seeing u get excited over booze. It's the little things in life.

"Valentine, Can we go for a Walk?"

That was the line on a Valentine's Day card that Moses got in the mail from one of our friend's doggies. It was so cute! VALENTINE'S DAY - It's one of those holidays people either hate or they love. I have to say, I like the holiday much better now that I have found my knight in shining armor. Honestly, Valentine's Day has never been one of my favorite holidays like Halloween, the 4th of July or Christmas. I could pretty much take it or leave it but since it does come around and I have such a cool hubby I don't mind celebrating it with the rest of the world. People always say it's overpriced and they can celebrate love anytime but how many times do you go out for romantic dinners on your own? Anyhoo, it's probably one of 4 times in a year that I can count on a special present from hubby (Christmas, Birthday and Anniversary being the others) and gosh darn it, I like to see what he gets me! I was most excited this year when Moses came running t

LA Street Food Fest

Everyone in LA is always chasing a food truck. We live by some amazing taco trucks but food trucks are more than just taco trucks these days. There are all kinds of specialities that people chase all over town. Today all the famous ones were in one place at the same time so we had to check out all their tasty treats! So hubby and I headed downtown LA to the LA Street Food Fest. We braved the crowds but were rewarded with some tasty treats. Here's a few pictures of our foodie adventure.

Busy Week

Last week was one hectic week!! About 150 people flew in from around the world to attend our 2010 conference. Our little group was busy trying to get filmmakers to let us show early footage from their films. It was rough but we were able to see a ton of footage and a lot of directors were able to show up and introduce their materials. In addition to watching footage and attending seminars like "how to prevent piracy" and "assets in the digital age" we did a lot of eating. It started last Sunday night at a Brazilian restaurant and ended on Friday at a lunch at the studio dining room. I was one tired lady at 6pm on Friday. Yesterday, we spent all day preparing our house for a dinner party for 8 people. The hubby made a trip to the butcher's and came home with a $65 piece of meat! Damn, was his Beef Wellington ever good! I think perhaps my hubby and his mother could go into the restaurant business if they wanted to. All of our guests rave
