Pink Eye

We've been dealing with Pink Eye, being sick and allergies for two weeks now. To say we're exhausted is understatement. Today, I thought I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I that I am almost done being Typhoid Mary and the daycare sends out a note that a case of Hand, Foot, and Mouth has been confirmed. Major, major sigh! Yes, I know, welcome to parenthood.

She's A Roller

The verdict is in, Penny has pink eye...we r eye dropping it up at home today...oh daycare, keep your germ sesspool to yourself next time! My sweet girl doesn't like her puffy eyes. Ms Penny hasn't let her gimp eyes stop her when it comes to rolling around on the floor. The girl is getting seriously good at flipping from her back to tummy and back again! Glad I have a front row seat today.

1st Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was wonderful! With snuggles in bed, brunch at the Farmer's Market, and a Mother's Day BBQ at my friend Verona's house, we celebrated in style. To remember the occasion, Penny took me to Tiffany's and let me pick out anything I wanted. She told me to charge it to Daddy's credit card. So I did. I picked out a beautiful silver ring.

Teacher

You know what and who is cool? Penny's teacher. After spending all day caring for several babies the woman sits down and writes journal entries so I know what my baby girl did all day. Complete with pictures and stickers. I love Ms Jenny! So grateful to have such a lady looking after my girl.

1st Day At Daycare

Well, I went back to work May 2nd and Ms. Penny started daycare at the studio today. I was teary eyed driving into work. Good thing we had a few transition days for Penny to have her get used to her new daytime home. I can't believe my 6 mos. of maternity leave has come to an end! In a few short days I will have a 5 month old baby girl!

New Respect

I am finally sitting down for the day. I have a whole new respect for my mother and how hard she worked to care for me. Although its hard work, there really isn't anything better then being Penny's mom. She is the BEST!

Back to Work

I survived my first week back at work (I moved floors, got a new office, joined a new department) and Penny survived her first day at day care yesterday (we love Ms Jenny and Ms Patricia). Being a working mom allows me get get the adult interaction I need and makes me appreciate EVERY minute with Penny. I am grateful this morning, plus Penny appears to be sleeping longer at night!

Trail Run

Made a trial run to Paramount and the daycare this morning. Penny took a nap in her crib and met a couple of cute boys (Logan and Liam). She is such a charmer.
