2015 is shaping up to be the year of surprises. First, I receive an invitation for a baby shower for one of my friends…the only thing…I didn't know she was pregnant, as in 7 months pregnant! Second, I get the mail one Saturday afternoon, two weeks ago and there in the mail is a red envelope. I open it and find out that the Maid of Honor in my wedding had eloped in December on the slopes of Utah. It wasn't unexpected but I was still surprised. Being surprised has sort of been the theme of my life this past year. There is a line in a movie that I worked on, that also sums up this theme. Staring Nicole Kidman, she says "I wonder what exciting will happen next?" The line has been a running joke between my boss and I because of the unexpectedness of our work situation.
