Disneyland with the Cuzs

We figured the day after Memorial Day wouldn't be too crowded a day to visit Disneyland and thank goodness our guess turned out right! We hadn't been to Disneyland since Ms. P's first birthday party back in December, so we were itching to make a visit. When my brother, his wife and two kids came out for a visit in May it was one of the things on their very short to do list. Ms. P's cousin, Will had been to DisneyWorld back when Ms. P was in momma's womb at 8 weeks, so he was excited to return to the fun place and meet Mickey at Disneyland. Lila had never been to either the Florida or California parks so this was her very first time! I bought the three kids matching sweaters and shirts. They looked so adorable. We knew with three small children we couldn't see everything so we stuck to Fantasyland and ToonTown for most of the day. We had a great time! We even snuck in the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean for the adults later in the day. Ms. P h

Montrose Petting Zoo

Our favorite Farmer's Market in Montrose has added a petting zoo much to the delight of baby girl. She is absolutely inlove with all things animals right now and she thoroughly enjoyed meeting ducks, lambs, pigs, cows, lambs and chickens. Here are some pics.

Olowalu

A few years ago hubby and I were married at The Olowalu Plantation on Maui. The venue has a page on Facebook now that features recent wedding photos and vendors which I love to look at cuz the memories always take me back to my special day. Today when I was browsing the page I found a vendor, a painter, that paints murals during your wedding. I though that was really cool. Who knew right? Above is a mural of one of the weddings she did at The Olowalu Plantation. I thought it was pretty. Below are some other pictures she did. What a cool idea and cool keepsake!

Lei Day

It may be May Day here on the main land but in Hawaii, my own personal heaven on earth, it's Lei Day! Here is a picture shared by hubby and I's favorite happy hour restaurant, Aloha Mixed Plate! Oh, when will I get back to Hawaii, it's been a while. I miss you!

Week of the Young Child

A lot of people ask me if I would like to be a stay at home mom and my response is "Baby Girl might get bored with me." Baby Girl's daycare has so many activities to keep the children entertained. I am not sure I could replicate that all by myself. This past week was the "Week of the Young Child." The daycare brought in musicians, a police car and a fire truck (so that the children get to know first responders) and a ton of other activities. But the activity that Baby Girl enjoyed the most was the "Animal Trainer Day." The school had an animal trainer come visit with 20 different animals. Apparently, my girl was the only infant who got up close and personal with each and every animal. She particularly liked the very large iguana. I was told that Baby Girl tried to grab his tongue each time he stuck it out and that was a lot! The picture above is from this week's infant walk. This is the second to last walk for Baby Girl who transitions
