This was our second year in a row, spending Valentine's at Disney except this time we booked a hotel and stayed there all weekend. Moses stayed at a cool new boarding place near our house and from the big smile on his face when I picked him up he seemed to have a good time too. Traffic on Friday was horrible but we did managed to eat dinner at Downtown Disney and go into Disneyland for the parade and fireworks. We even ran into Mickey and Minnie but Penny had fallen asleep so she didn't get to see them. We took in an old times movie at the Lincoln theatre courtesy of the AP Days events going on. We even got a swim in in the hotel's smallest square pool. Suffice to say, we all slept good that night. We woke up on Saturday and found that the hotel offered a free breakfast buffet so we all filled dup before going to the park for another day of fun. On Valentine's Day, Sunday, we exchanged gift in our big king sized bed. Received our cookie order from Hannah (a special DL delivery to the hotel) and spent the day at the park where we ran into Disney friends Logan and Cheryl and ran into some of our friends in town from Portland. We spent a ton f time seeking out characters especially the "princes" who rarely come out except on Valentine's day. We also got to talk to the Disneyland train engineers. Despite the train being closed you could still access the train and the engineers and get photos you never could get before when the train is open. Overall, it was an awesome weekend!
As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen. If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public. Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me. Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....
