Gosh, all of the sudden it's the middle of June and we are nearing the 4th of July! Where did the last few weeks go? We've been quite busy these past two months. We had eye appointments, A Mother's Day Celebration at Verona's, Mommy Club, visitors from Chicago, trips to the museum, The Grove, and Disneyland, Diabetic Training, A trip to the nutritionist, a few trips to Santa Monica, a few lunches at Lulu's, Penny's 18 month check up, FUDGE Day party at Daycare, a bonfire on the beach, brunch with old friends, swimming with friends and a big Father's Day tri-tip BBQ party at the LaScala's House. Then there has been work on blockbuster movies for me and hubbers has had two months off from his job but that didn't mean he wasn't busy. He took on a big project of redesigning and re-landscaping our front yard. Yep, the front is completely redone! All the old shrubs are gone! Then the both of us have been dieting. Hubs lost 30 pounds won a weight-loss contest he was doing with friends and then I am about to hit 20 pounds shortly. What a start to the Summer!
As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen. If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public. Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me. Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....
