A Fringe of Nimoy

The world it seems just can't get enough of Leonard Nimoy. At the very least JJ can't. Mr. Nimoy had an awesome cameo in the new Star Trek movie which by the way I love, love, love and you should see, see, see. And he has even done a cameo on one of my favorite new TV shows, Fringe. However, I thought at the very least he'd be on the TV screen more than 3 minutes. I am kinda mad at the Fringe folks for advertising Leonard Nimoy only to stick him in the last three minutes of the series finale. I kind feel like I got cheated. And since he is so popular right now I was looking forward to this new outlet to see him in. His three minutes better turn into a guest starring role next season or, or, or I am going to send my remote control into the next dimension. I am sure in the other dimension Leonard was on Fringe more than 3 minutes.

Nimoy's having a little resurgence now and it's good, he was great in the new Star Trek movie and funny on Lettermen when he did the Top Ten List. Fringe is a great show, I wish he had more of role in the show than what he did.

As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen.  If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public.  Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me.  Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....

Surfing Goat Diary

We left the store and headed to the Surfing Goat Diary, again, this was a second trip for us but what was different this time is that we scheduled an hour long tour. Last time we arrive right before closing and were rushed. We spent a fair amount of time there exploring before the tour. We tried their cheesecake, we met the cats and dogs that roamed the place, we played in the playground, we pet and fed the baby goats that were penned up, and pursued the little store. Penny was eager to get her hands on the chocolate goat milk truffles. I must admit they did look good. I had my eyes on a t-shirt and a mug. Our tour started at 3:30pm that day and we met all the goats and learned all about the farm. But the most exciting part of the tour was getting the opportunity to milk the goats. Penny was quite a good milker. A friend later reminded me that Penny was breastfed (wink, wink). By the time the tour ended we were extremely hot. Maui was hot but also humid. We were ready to...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster.
