Welcome Netflix! Bonjour Paris!

So today marked the first day of the Reasler's free month of Netflix. This was courtesy of some class action suit that the hub was part of. I have never had Netflix but I like the idea. We got 3 movies in the mail today and have already dropped one back in the mail for another. We watched Bolt tonight and it has made me want a white dog even more. Additionally it has made me want a cat called Mittens. I am not really sure what I am going to do with this information but I thought I d share my latest wants with you.

Also, I am going to Paris, yes that city in France, this Sunday or rather, I have a ticket to Paris and we will see how this week goes and if I actually get on the plane that goes to Paris. Work has some "sensitive" trailer negatives they want me to hand carry to the Paris Office. I am especially excited as I love Paris and the cityscape is still fresh in my mind from our trip back in November. But... in the back of my head I am trying not to get too excited because I have been up for trips a million times only to have them cancelled. In fact early today it was cancelled and then an hour later it was back on. Yes, the movie business is crazy. So if I make it through the week, I get on a plane on Sunday morning, arrive Monday morning Paris time. Wait for a company car to pick me up and take me to the Paris Office. I will hang out all day and hopefully the gang will take me around town so I can look at billboards and get a better idea of their needs and requirements. Not sure what I will do on my second day (but I am hoping it involves a chocolate crepe with bananas and whip cream) and on day three, I hop back on a plane and come back home. I'd say that is a pretty good work week! Hope it happens!

You're going to love NETFLIX, it's so easy! I think you said you had a WII, I know on XBOX you can get movies from NETFLIX streaming right to the XBOX. I think they have a deal with TIVO as well.
That is good to know! We do have an xbox but I have no idea how to work it. I will have to put the hubby on the case! He has the netflix application on his itouch and we have been ordering from that too.

Behind Door Number One

Have you ever watched those TV Game shows where they have a couple of doors and behind one is a grand prize? Well, this weekend the hub and I found out what was behind our Door #1. The hubby and I are starting the beginning phases of landscaping our backyard. Our first step, was to clean out the area behind our garage. When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. But after we cut a million vines with only a pair of clippers we gave up and decided to clean out the rest in the spring. Spring came around and we didn't do much until one day when I was sick a few weeks ago, I ran into our gardener. I showed him the mess and asked if he knew of anyone who could come clean it out. I could tell he was actually, quite happy for me to broach the subject of ...

My Favorite Gourmet Trucks

As of last night, I have now tried 18 food trucks! Only 60 more to go! My friends, Krueger and Kristy joined me at 55 Degree Wine in Atwar Village to try the always busy Grilled Cheese Truck! I have run into the truck a few times now but something has always prevented me from trying their food. Mostly the really, really long lines!! This time the hour wait wasn't so bad with two girls to gossip with. By the time we got to the front we were ready to execute our food plan. Kristy took lead and placed an order for 3 sandwiches (the brie, the mac-n-cheese and the rib meat) plus the dessert sandwich and some tator tots!!! I was a bit bummed that they didn't have the sandwich I went for, the Harvest sandwich but the 3 sandwiches we got more than made up for everything. I was glad to try this truck with 2 girls because we split the sandiches in 3rds which was awesome because I got to try a variety of their sandwiches. Now I must add the Grilled Cheese Truck to my list of fa...

Surfing Goat Diary

We left the store and headed to the Surfing Goat Diary, again, this was a second trip for us but what was different this time is that we scheduled an hour long tour. Last time we arrive right before closing and were rushed. We spent a fair amount of time there exploring before the tour. We tried their cheesecake, we met the cats and dogs that roamed the place, we played in the playground, we pet and fed the baby goats that were penned up, and pursued the little store. Penny was eager to get her hands on the chocolate goat milk truffles. I must admit they did look good. I had my eyes on a t-shirt and a mug. Our tour started at 3:30pm that day and we met all the goats and learned all about the farm. But the most exciting part of the tour was getting the opportunity to milk the goats. Penny was quite a good milker. A friend later reminded me that Penny was breastfed (wink, wink). By the time the tour ended we were extremely hot. Maui was hot but also humid. We were ready to...
