Happy New Year! Welcome 2009!

Happy New Year Everyone!!! The hub and I partied it up at home this year. Due to his crazy, he never knows when he has to work schedule it made planning anything pretty much impossible. Though we had four cool choices. 1. Go with Susan and Kevin to New Orleans (now this would have been totally cool as I have never been there but would have required at the minimum four days off)) 2. Go to the Katy Perry Concert at Paramount (this required knowing what time time the hub got out of work). 3. Go to the Hinojosa's and party it up with them and the Bosgul's 4. Go to a friend's boyfriend's party in Santa Monica. Again, time problem on the last two. Anyhoo, the hubby did get out of work early after an apparently hectic day at work (everone on the show got fired - so the hub and the editors had to listen to screaming all day). So we stayed at home and raided the liquor cabinet which is once again full thanks to some Christmas presents we received. We had a bunch of fun calling everyone and dressing up in clothes and jewelry we would have worn if we had gone out. Sometimes you just have to play dress up to make staying at home feel glamourous. Anyhoo, on to 2009!!! I don't have any resolutions to post. I always like to think of resolutions as goals so I will be posting those goals in my little black book of "things I want to do in life" book. We will see how many come true. My immediate goal is to lose some weight before going to Disney at the end of the month so I can pig out. How's that for a goal. Lose weigh so I can gain weight? Anyway, going to DisneyWorld and a Disney Cruise is the next big thing I am looking forward too.

Vaccine Part 1

As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen.  If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public.  Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me.  Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....

Random Thoughts as the Weekend Closes

Today I got a friend request from my mother-in-law. Will she embrace the FaceBook? We wait and see. Technology is cool...I got to speak to my friend in Hong Kong today. The BlindSide is a really heartwarming and good movie. I didn't know what to expect. I saw Sandra in blond hair and I thought cheesy. Now I can't decide whether I want her or Meryl to win the Oscar. Cats are really nice creatures. I haven't really had much exposure to one before. I especially like the fact that you can hold them like babies. I wonder if I stole Mr. Chuckles if anyone would notice? hum. Bartenders blowing fire makes for an interesting drink at the bar. Plantains are better when they come with your meal and not as an appetizer. I met a man who wanted to see Leap Year. Krueger continues to take jobs that suck ass and take up her precious time. Sorry CougarTown screwed ur day up Krugs. We missed u at the movies today. Ever since I got Mo I have meet the most interesting people ...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster. And the line...
