Boobies of All Shapes and Sizes

Our third day in Paris took the hub and I back to Norte Dame as the hub wanted to get some photos in the daylight. After photographing every statue and gargoyle possible we went off to shop and buy food for an alfresco picnic in the park. We walked around the Latin Quarter and then moved to the St. Germain area. We went to eclectic shops (a candle maker, a perfumeries, etc.), stopped for some liquid hot chocolate sludge at Les Duex Maggots and a ton of food places (like a bread shop, a chocolatier, more bakeries, etc). Eventually, we ended up at The Bon Marche a huge department store. We had a blast shopping, they had this really cool kids' section with all kinds of educational toys I had never seen before. American kids are sure missing out!! There were several things I wanted but we settled on a few presents for other people and a tea pot for us. Yes, another tea pot. After shopping we ended up in The Bon Marche's Grand Food Emporium. They had food from all over the world. We each picked out some lunch meat and cheese. Along with the bread we had bought at the bakery earlier we headed to the park. The hub even found a bottle of that good sparkling water we had the other night with our side of brains. We didn't end up at the park we thought we were going to but we still had a great picnic. I loved my sandwich meat. It was so tasty. It was neat gathering up elements from all over town and having a feast in the park. After lunch, we shopped some more and headed back to the hotel to get ready for the cabaret. Despite it being very cold outside we put on our best clothes and headed out to Champs-Elysees to see LIDO, the hot new cabaret in town. We walked up and down the ritzy streets once more and stopped for dinner at McDonald's. We couldn't leave Paris without ordering a Royal with Cheese and can you believe they were actually out of them!!! Well, the hub ended up ordering a Deluxe Royale with Cheese minus all the deluxe which made it a regular Royale with Cheese so I don't understand why they were out. Who knows? And still disgusted by raw meat I got a chicken sandwich. The guy who helped us told us BON APPETITE as he gave us our food. The hub couldn't stop laughing. Bon Appetite for McDonald's he said. He doesn't have as much love for McD's as I do. In fact he only goes cuz I like it so he found the phrase Bon Appetite hilarious. I have to have McDonald's in every country I visited so at the very least I enjoyed dinner. Really McD's worked out for us because it was too late to eat somewhere nice and too early to get into the theatre. So our 45 minute dinner worked out great. Plus, I think I amazed some couple sitting next to me at how fast I could eat the food. The guy looked at me weird. I can't help but eat fast due to my movie-theatre years of 5 minute meals. We arrived at LIDO and had to wait in line. We got inside and they made us check our coats and a lady took us up to the balcony. We sat in the front row in the middle of the balcony. Perfect for seeing the entire show and a perfect for being able to enjoy a whole bottle of Champaign. Immediately, I learned why this show was so popular. All the topless girls were surely a hit with the crowd. I never seen so many pairs of boobs and different sizes in my life! It was nice to watch all those good looking girls and their perfect bodies waddle all over the stage. Gave me encouragement for like five minutes afterward to try and stop eating. The show was pretty good. It was like watching one of those Gene Kelly musicals with girls in costumes, waterfalls, and huge feathery things hanging from the ceiling. When the show was over I was a bit sad because it was our last major thing in Paris. We had a few hours the next day but we were due to hop a train back to Amsterdam. Oh Paris! I loved you and can't wait to get back to you!

Behind Door Number One

Have you ever watched those TV Game shows where they have a couple of doors and behind one is a grand prize? Well, this weekend the hub and I found out what was behind our Door #1. The hubby and I are starting the beginning phases of landscaping our backyard. Our first step, was to clean out the area behind our garage. When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. But after we cut a million vines with only a pair of clippers we gave up and decided to clean out the rest in the spring. Spring came around and we didn't do much until one day when I was sick a few weeks ago, I ran into our gardener. I showed him the mess and asked if he knew of anyone who could come clean it out. I could tell he was actually, quite happy for me to broach the subject of ...

My Favorite Gourmet Trucks

As of last night, I have now tried 18 food trucks! Only 60 more to go! My friends, Krueger and Kristy joined me at 55 Degree Wine in Atwar Village to try the always busy Grilled Cheese Truck! I have run into the truck a few times now but something has always prevented me from trying their food. Mostly the really, really long lines!! This time the hour wait wasn't so bad with two girls to gossip with. By the time we got to the front we were ready to execute our food plan. Kristy took lead and placed an order for 3 sandwiches (the brie, the mac-n-cheese and the rib meat) plus the dessert sandwich and some tator tots!!! I was a bit bummed that they didn't have the sandwich I went for, the Harvest sandwich but the 3 sandwiches we got more than made up for everything. I was glad to try this truck with 2 girls because we split the sandiches in 3rds which was awesome because I got to try a variety of their sandwiches. Now I must add the Grilled Cheese Truck to my list of fa...

Surfing Goat Diary

We left the store and headed to the Surfing Goat Diary, again, this was a second trip for us but what was different this time is that we scheduled an hour long tour. Last time we arrive right before closing and were rushed. We spent a fair amount of time there exploring before the tour. We tried their cheesecake, we met the cats and dogs that roamed the place, we played in the playground, we pet and fed the baby goats that were penned up, and pursued the little store. Penny was eager to get her hands on the chocolate goat milk truffles. I must admit they did look good. I had my eyes on a t-shirt and a mug. Our tour started at 3:30pm that day and we met all the goats and learned all about the farm. But the most exciting part of the tour was getting the opportunity to milk the goats. Penny was quite a good milker. A friend later reminded me that Penny was breastfed (wink, wink). By the time the tour ended we were extremely hot. Maui was hot but also humid. We were ready to...
