You could take the first part of this title two ways and you would be correct on either. I am quite literally at work on Friday night sick as dog. I am so cold and tired and wish I could go home. I am also sick and tired of work this week. This is the rush time of the year for me at work because all materials need to get made and shipped out so theatres can put them up in time for Christmas. Trying to get approvals is like pulling teeth. No one cares about schedules. It gets approved when it does and we are expected to make miracles happen to get the stuff out. I like what I do but on week's such as this one, it's hard to stay enthusiastic. There is so much to do and not enought time in day to do it. I have been working 12 hours days all this week and haven't stopped to take a break. Today the girls had to make me eat lunch. I forgot to bring mine so so a nice person offered me some food. I wish I could have called in sick but there was no one in the office but me so I had to go in. Plus, there are too many things going on not to go in. Too many approvals. People outside this business might say so what, don't go in you are sick but they don't know what it takes to "make Christmas." So next time you go to the movie theatre and you see all those posters, those banners, those standees, and those floor stickers you think of me cuz, that is my life. My life is to bring cardboard and paper to the world. Got to go, my art just came in and I need to review it for accuracy before it prints tonight.

When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. But after we cut a million vines with only a pair of clippers we gave up and decided to clean out the rest in the spring. Spring came around and we didn't do much until one day when I was sick a few weeks ago, I ran into our gardener. I showed him the mess and asked if he knew of anyone who could come clean it out. I could tell he was actually, quite happy for me to broach the subject of ...
