We're Not Going to Take It, Anymore!

Can you believe gas is an astonishing $4.46 a gallon? It cost me $50 bucks to fill up my car this week. It really was painful to know that I had to work more then an hour to put that gas in my Jeep. I am starting to spend a lot of time calculating when I will do errands and how I can get them all done at once. I find myself questioning trips to the mall and trips to the grocery store. Unless I am going to work, I question the trip.

Something is sick and wrong with the world when you have to take out a loan to buy some gas. Scientists of the world must unite and put their thinking caps on. There must be other forms of eneregy we can use that are cheaper? I am pretty sure scientists have united but the big oil people, rich people and government people of the world have their buddy buddy aliances in place, ready to suck out every last dime that us poor working class people make. Sure they gave us the Prius but I am pretty sure they can do better. The funny thing is I think I make a decent wage and it still hurts to pump gas.

I can't imagine what people on minimum wage feel like? Public Transportation in LA sucks so it must be forcing a lot of people to take super duper longs rides just so they can make some money for "the man" to take away. So all you people out there that read this blog, I need you to do me a favor and get out there and vote this fall because we need someone new in the White House who will listen to the middle class and poor man. We need someone to stop listening to "the man" and do some good for the people of the USA. Not the rich people, but us, working class and poor people. The French only work a 30 hour work week. You know why because the people of France get out and vote.

So tell "the man" we aren't going ot take it anymore by getting out there and getting us a new president who cares about all Americans and not just the rich ones.

I've been saying it. As the gas prices goes up, the demand for gas is going to change. Yes, the demand for gas will be lowered (you are already lower your gas consumption when you plan your trip.). The good part about it, more choices will be available as demand for other solutions grow. Whether is alternative fuel vehicles, more gas efficient vehicles, better transportation. A lot of Californians still haven't changed their lifestyle cause gas isn't hurting(them expensive) enough to change their lifestyle. I guess the high gas price will help reduce our carbon foot prints on this planet.

Vaccine Part 1

As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen.  If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public.  Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me.  Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....

Surfing Goat Diary

We left the store and headed to the Surfing Goat Diary, again, this was a second trip for us but what was different this time is that we scheduled an hour long tour. Last time we arrive right before closing and were rushed. We spent a fair amount of time there exploring before the tour. We tried their cheesecake, we met the cats and dogs that roamed the place, we played in the playground, we pet and fed the baby goats that were penned up, and pursued the little store. Penny was eager to get her hands on the chocolate goat milk truffles. I must admit they did look good. I had my eyes on a t-shirt and a mug. Our tour started at 3:30pm that day and we met all the goats and learned all about the farm. But the most exciting part of the tour was getting the opportunity to milk the goats. Penny was quite a good milker. A friend later reminded me that Penny was breastfed (wink, wink). By the time the tour ended we were extremely hot. Maui was hot but also humid. We were ready to...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster. And the line...
