Stop Barking!

I can't believe it's February already? The other day, I was invited to a party on March 15th and I had to hesitate on my yes response because I realized my 1st year anniversary was on the 13th and I may be doing something the night of the party. I can't believe a whole year has gone by since the hoopla of Hawaii and Fiji!

The Hub & I have been mostly busy with work. We both have been working until 7-8pm each night.I am grateful the hubby is back on days though. When we aren't working we are cooking food, watching TV, reading books (he reads comics and I finally got to the last Harry Potter book) and trying to sleep.

I say trying because behind our house there are two dogs that constantly bark. The one dog is somewhere directly behind my house and the other is a few doors down. Guess when they decide to bark? At the convenient hour of 4AM. Apparently they have enough bark in them to last till 6AM. I can't imagine there are enough damn birds, squirrels or cats left for them to bark at! I am so used to waking up at 4AM I now just awake at that time and wait for the barking to begin. If you are a light sleeper like me you can imagine the complete and utter annoyance and rage I feel each day. It got so bad one day this week that I actually opened up the window and screamed at the dog. "Shut up dog! Stop barking." He actually listened to me and shut the hell up. I was hoping his owner would hear me scream and make him stop but the next day he was back to barking. I also called the police but they couldn't help me and gave me the number to animal control. I haven't called thinking there must be another way to deal with this. I really don't want to be a tattle tale but short of going over and smacking that dog myself I am not sure what to do? Maybe a letter? It worked with our noisy, convenience store, belling ringing, loud telephone ringing, neighbors at Noble.

I think one of the dog owner's goes to work early. Cuz the dog barks at the same time each day and he is so loud that the owner must not be there cuz surely he would hear him and control his pet. I hope that is the case cuz if I find out they let their dog bark for two hours straight I will have to open a can of whoop ass. The only other thing I can think of is that the neighbor is older and hard of hearing. Anyhoo, each day I investigate a little bit more. Its hard to pinpoint because of the large walls in all all of our backyards and I don't know what street is behind my backyard. I need to find the street but I can't cuz I am so busy with work!

I used to like dogs but now after these yappers won't shut up I am a little bitter against the dog race. If you are a dog I will give you a million doggie treats if you come over to my house and speak to the two mutts yapping their brains off. I am so frustrated I am about to pelt the beasts with oranges and lemons. I got so many they might as well go to some good use, like knocking a dog quiet.

Behind Door Number One

Have you ever watched those TV Game shows where they have a couple of doors and behind one is a grand prize? Well, this weekend the hub and I found out what was behind our Door #1. The hubby and I are starting the beginning phases of landscaping our backyard. Our first step, was to clean out the area behind our garage. When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. But after we cut a million vines with only a pair of clippers we gave up and decided to clean out the rest in the spring. Spring came around and we didn't do much until one day when I was sick a few weeks ago, I ran into our gardener. I showed him the mess and asked if he knew of anyone who could come clean it out. I could tell he was actually, quite happy for me to broach the subject of ...

My Favorite Gourmet Trucks

As of last night, I have now tried 18 food trucks! Only 60 more to go! My friends, Krueger and Kristy joined me at 55 Degree Wine in Atwar Village to try the always busy Grilled Cheese Truck! I have run into the truck a few times now but something has always prevented me from trying their food. Mostly the really, really long lines!! This time the hour wait wasn't so bad with two girls to gossip with. By the time we got to the front we were ready to execute our food plan. Kristy took lead and placed an order for 3 sandwiches (the brie, the mac-n-cheese and the rib meat) plus the dessert sandwich and some tator tots!!! I was a bit bummed that they didn't have the sandwich I went for, the Harvest sandwich but the 3 sandwiches we got more than made up for everything. I was glad to try this truck with 2 girls because we split the sandiches in 3rds which was awesome because I got to try a variety of their sandwiches. Now I must add the Grilled Cheese Truck to my list of fa...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster. And the line...
