As part of my job I get to see a lot of movies in advance before they are released to the public. Yesterday, we screened a film that scared the shit out of me.  I was shaking for hours after screening the film.  I think the thing that got to me the most was that I went in thinking it was going to be a murder mystery and it turned out to be THE EXORCIST. The funny thing was that I've seen THE EXORCIST and wasn't scared because going in I knew I was going to be freaked out so I prepared myself.  But there was no preparing for this film. This film looked like one thing and turned out to be another (we normally do that when we know the film is going to suck).  But this film, despite scaring the shit out of me was awesome! A total surprise that I could get that scared and a total surprise that it was good. I hadn't read a synopsis and hadn't worked on the trailer yet so I had no idea what to expect. Let me tell you when you get scared at the THE EXORCIST kind of movies you don't want to be sitting in a theatre (which by the way had the air conditioning on the highest level possible) thinking you'd be seeing one thing and suddenly do a 360..... and be covering your eyes and ears wishing you would have stayed in your office.  I'd tell you the name of this "scared shitless" film but its too early yet.  Plus, I want you to have the pleasure of discovering this treat on your own. You don't want to miss being scared in your seat!

As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen.  If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public.  Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me.  Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....

Surfing Goat Diary

We left the store and headed to the Surfing Goat Diary, again, this was a second trip for us but what was different this time is that we scheduled an hour long tour. Last time we arrive right before closing and were rushed. We spent a fair amount of time there exploring before the tour. We tried their cheesecake, we met the cats and dogs that roamed the place, we played in the playground, we pet and fed the baby goats that were penned up, and pursued the little store. Penny was eager to get her hands on the chocolate goat milk truffles. I must admit they did look good. I had my eyes on a t-shirt and a mug. Our tour started at 3:30pm that day and we met all the goats and learned all about the farm. But the most exciting part of the tour was getting the opportunity to milk the goats. Penny was quite a good milker. A friend later reminded me that Penny was breastfed (wink, wink). By the time the tour ended we were extremely hot. Maui was hot but also humid. We were ready to...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster.
