Some people may disagree with me but in my humble opinion the best drink on earth is Boba Tea. I will always remember when I first tried and who introduced it to me. I was hanging out at one of my AMC friend's house when he came home with a bag of drinks that were sealed. He handed me a drink along with a huge straw. He explained you had to push the straw through the thick plastic cover and proceed to slurp the jelly balls up the straw. Huh? He had to show me because I had never had a drink where I had to suck anything other than the liquid through the straw! I remember that first sensation of the jelly tapioca balls hitting my tongue and a sense of pure delight came over me. I had never had this much fun drinking something in my whole life! It was also pretty awesome that the tea mixed with milk concoction was also pretty tasty. That was almost 20 years ago! I have had many Boba drinks since but it isn't that is all that easy to find. Granted it is easier to find in Southern California than oh say, Idaho, but alas it takes some works to have this gelatin goodness. Well, discover my surprise when my husband stopped at a business in our neck of the woods and announced he was going in to get a Boba. Not only do we have a Boba place in our hood but they served my all time favorite Boba drink, the lavender milk tea! OMG! Finally, it only took 20 years but Boba is so close now!

When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. But after we cut a million vines with only a pair of clippers we gave up and decided to clean out the rest in the spring. Spring came around and we didn't do much until one day when I was sick a few weeks ago, I ran into our gardener. I showed him the mess and asked if he knew of anyone who could come clean it out. I could tell he was actually, quite happy for me to broach the subject of ...
