America's pastime. The big all-American game. Yes, once again its that time of year and once again, I don't care. I've never much been into football. Except for a few high school and college games but I've never spent weekends watching the NFL. So when my good friend, who is getting married asked if I could come try on bridesmaids dresses on Super Bowl Sunday, I said sure. So I drove over to Beverly Hills which only took 15 minutes (thank you Super Bowl) to try on a plethora of dresses. Of course, they were all horrible except one and that is the one I bought because luckily the bride gave us all the option to wear whatever dress style we wanted. So I went for this simple long dress. The bride's colors will be Indigo which is not the purple shown in the photo. Although before showing up I thought Indigo was purple.
While we were there trying on one hideous dress after another one of the brides down the hall comes out in (I kid you not) an Elsa Wedding Dress. Yes, I had totally forgotten that Disney has their own line of wedding dresses. Well, this Elsa dress was so grand, so flamboyant, that I had to try it on! I never got to try on wedding dresses for my own wedding so this was the first wedding dress I ever tried on and boy did it ever have a lot of sequins! And tulle. It was like 10 sizes to big so the lady had to clip me in but in addition to feeling like a snow queen I felt like a mermaid as this is what this dress seemed to be a cross of, a mermaid and a ice queen.
I guess you could kind of say I "Let It Go" in the bridal shop! ha ha

The hubby and I are starting the beginning phases of landscaping our backyard. Our first step, was to clean out the area behind our garage. When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. But after we cut a million vines with only a pair of clippers we gave up and decided to clean out the rest in the spring. Spring came around and we didn't do much until one day when I was sick a few weeks ago, I ran into our gardener. I showed him the mess and asked if he knew of anyone who could come clean it out. I could tell he was actually, quite happy for me to broach the subject of ...
