Hide & Seek

Penny's favorite thing to do these days is to play Hide and Seek however, Moses keeps blowing my cover. ‪#‎MosesIsAnExpertSeeker‬ ‪#‎HeAlwaysSniffsMeOut‬ ‪#‎PennyWinsAgain‬

Dreaming of Home

So in 52 days I will return to Michigan, a place I haven't been in 7 years! I'm already making my list of favorites to visit. Here is a few.

Cookies the Right Way

After my day long nap recovering from Vegas, I awoke rearing to go this evening. So what did Mom do? Mom hosted a hot Pajama Party in the kitchen with DJ Daddy, making unhealthy chocolate chip cookies with party girl Penny. Yum! Good weekend!

Caroline's Bachelorette Party

Needing an excuse to go to Vegas with the girl's Caroline decided to have an impromptu Bachelorette party. So this Momma booked a SouthWest flight to Vegas for the very first time. I have Jury Duty to thank for that. Unsure if I would be called to Jury Duty on Friday, I booked the ticket (luckily, I was called on Thursday and excused, so I got that settled before leaving, thank you court Gods!). I have to say flying to Vegas is a 100 times more awesome than the long grueling drive. I think I may be ruined for life. Had a good time with the girls. Not as rowdy as in our younger years but still fun. The highlight was our VIP trip to MGM's Wet Republic. We somehow hooked up with another Bachelorette party and took over this $1500 cabana next to the DJ. Best part, all you can eat and drink! We all agreed we should forget the clubs and just do pool parties from now on. Good times!

Tuckered Out

I guess we finally tired Penny out! After a fun filled day at Disneyland, Penny ate her pizza and literally fell asleep on the chair she was using. We had a fun day. Disneyland is all dressed up and ready to go for Halloween! Even the Dapper Dans were all decked out in their orange outfits. Here is the hilarious picture Daddy caught.

My Friend's Are Having Kids

In this journey called life, it's the people you meet along the way that make it, worth while. Some briefly, some for a while, some forever. So glad I bumped into this guy, Papa M, in an elevator 13 years ago, or I may not have been around to see this sweet baby girl's first birthday. Happy 1st Birthday J!

Peaceful

She is so cute and peaceful when she is sleeping. She is a ball of energy these days with her "cheers" and her sudden love for Godzilla.

Dylan

My AMC pals came over for a visit this weekend and they brought the very cute, 10-month-old, Dylan with them. This is Penny and him watching a bit of crack that is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. What does Disney do with that show. I swear every young kid loves that show. Must be the bright colors.

You Can't Beat The Price!

Man, those Costco folks can make a good hot dog and who can beat the $1.50 price that includes a drink? We were in that area when Penny said her famous word "Hun-gee Mom." So to Costco we went.

VOO DOO DONUTS

Hubs took a man-cation to Portland to see his buddies Matt and Montez. My one request, to please bring me home a donut from the famous Voo Doo Donuts. I've heard about them for ages and have been dying to try one forever! Well, the good hubby that he is, he brought me home three! A plain glazed one, a bacon maple bar, and a Memphis Mafia Bar a.k.a. an apple fritter with chocolate and peanut butter. The maple bacon one was shear heaven, the apple fritter was amazing, and the plain one, I asked him why a plain one? Well, turns out of the three, that was Penny's personal favorite. So alas, like life, it all worked out! The donuts were amaze balls! And Montez said there is even a better donut shop in Portland. Next time I guess! But it will be hard to keep me away from Voo Doo if I go there. It was definitely, one of the best donuts I ever had. My Yelp Review: I don't live in Portland and have never been inside this place but I heard about the donuts and when h...

FUN

We were invited over to Maximo's the other night to visit his two new puppies. I was mortified that Penny was so completely dirty. The girl does like to get into it! Luckily, the dogs, Maximo and his parents didn't mind.

Hot Pot Meet Up

The lovable, Toby, was in town again, this time for the Disneyland marathons going on over Labor Day. Tonight, he invited the LA Crew to a Mongolian Hot Pot Restaurant in Pasadena, for ALL YOU CAN EAT food you cook in a bowl. I must say, I was skeptical about going. I actually misread the e-mail and thought I had signed up for All You Can Eat Sushi, as sushi is usually what this group does. The only food I cooked in a pot in the past years was at The Melting Pot and at some Shabu Shabu place, both not very good memories. But I must say, YELPERS were right about this place. With 4.5 out of 5 stars, this place did rock in atmosphere and in taste. It was a most enjoyable evening out with good friends. Here is a picture of the gang that went: Minh, Caroline, Danielle, Jung, Toby and Me.

Another Disney Movie

This time Planes: Fire & Rescue. Daddy took Penny to the Americana and got suckered into seeing this movie.

It's Labor Day Again!

Happy September 1st people! I celebrated yesterday by walking 6 miles. I labored 3 miles to Mama D's (quite possibly the best pizza and ravioli I have ever had), I labored by eating way too many carbs, and I labored by walking 3 miles back carrying leftover pizza and ravioli. Today, I rest and remember the workers movement.
