I Knew It!

We were at Disneyland today (no big surprise) and we were talking about movie star sightings and I tell hubs its weird in all our times at DL we have never had a movie star sighting. Flash forward to lunch. We go to the Plaza Inn sit down at a table and Penny stars flirting with the people next to us. She is all up in their business. They were nice to her and not annoyed. We ended up chatting throughout our lunch about little odds and ends. The girl mentions her hands are sticky so I grab Penny's wipes and offer them to her. We chat some more. They get up to leave and we say good bye. Penny hugs and kisses the girl. We finish lunch shortly after. Afterwards, we start talking about those two as there was just something about them. I told hubby, I think they were famous. There's something about the girl's voice and there was something about the guy under the sunglasses. We spend all day thinking about who these two look like. We get home and hubs looks on Twitter on the DL star sighting page and none of the people fit. An hour later hubs leaves and goes to see Guardians of the Galaxy (cuz, I already saw it). I look on FB and see an ALS video of Chris Pratt (thanks Jennifer Kegle). And then it dawns on me. I Google immediately. The pictures confirm it. You know who we had lunch with? Chris Pratt and Anna Faris!!! We not only had a DL sighting but a whole encounter and we didn't even know it. And I just saw his movie the other day, that's why I knew him. And that unique girl's voice was Anna. And Penny kissed Anna! I still can't believe it!

As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen.  If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public.  Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me.  Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....

Surfing Goat Diary

We left the store and headed to the Surfing Goat Diary, again, this was a second trip for us but what was different this time is that we scheduled an hour long tour. Last time we arrive right before closing and were rushed. We spent a fair amount of time there exploring before the tour. We tried their cheesecake, we met the cats and dogs that roamed the place, we played in the playground, we pet and fed the baby goats that were penned up, and pursued the little store. Penny was eager to get her hands on the chocolate goat milk truffles. I must admit they did look good. I had my eyes on a t-shirt and a mug. Our tour started at 3:30pm that day and we met all the goats and learned all about the farm. But the most exciting part of the tour was getting the opportunity to milk the goats. Penny was quite a good milker. A friend later reminded me that Penny was breastfed (wink, wink). By the time the tour ended we were extremely hot. Maui was hot but also humid. We were ready to...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster.
