After spending all day Monday, running around Upcountry we were tired when we woke up on Tuesday. We partook in the hotel's early riser breakfast but afterward instead of rushing out to see something we decided to hang out at the beach and get some R & R. Penny was excited to return to the water and it wasn't long before she made friends with two little boys, Christian and Frank from Toronto. Their nanny was with them and she got the 3 children building elaborate sand houses. Christian took one look at me and asked where our nanny was. It was really funny that he knew I was the mommy. I told him our nanny was taking her own vacation away from us. He looked at me weird and walked away. It was nice getting to know those two boys but the relationship with Penny didn't last too long as they were quite particular about how things were to be done and I think Penny pissed them off. After the glory of meeting people her own age wore off she was back to grabbing Daddy and Goofy for a swim. Penny sure has a knack of meeting people. That first day on the beach she met an older woman who she started calling "Grandma." It really was quit cute. After the boys, a dog came by and sat by us as we sat eating a snack. He look dot be really hungry and wanted to grab everything out of my hands but he had manners and waited until I gave him handfuls of Cheerios which he gobbled up at each offering. He didn't stay too long and then Penny met this stranger woman and her daughter. This lady's daughter was Penny's age and the lady had her in a life vest. The girl just bobbed up and down in the ocean and the mother didn't appear to be watching her. Luckily that vest really floated. We made our way up to them and then Penny discovered she wanted a vest. I took that as the perfect opportunity to introduce her to the vest I bought her. She liked it only because she now matched the little girl in the water. She refused to wear it the rest of the trip.
When I was going to Michigan State University, my friends and I would always go to BW3's for hot wings. They always had a variety of flavored wings from Honey BBQ to steaming hot, hot, death wings. Wings and a beer were just the thing to satisfy a busy student's appetite. When we frequented BW3's it was a dive bar but by the time my brother graduated from MSU they swapped locations for a building across the street and turned the name to Buffalo Wild Wings and the restaurant became more like a chain thing. Well, color me shocked the other day when we went to the movies and I saw a Buffalo Wild Wings being built in the AMC Burbank 16 complex. Apparently, after looking on their website they are one of the fastest top 10 chains in the US. So of course I had to introduce the hubby to one of my favorite college treats. I don't think he is so much a fan of chicken wings so we got boneless chicken wings a.k.a. tasty little chicken chunks in two of the flavored sauc...
