Since Dad likes pie so much we decided to take him to THE HOUSE OF PIES in Los Feliz again. We are hoping to make it an annual tradition. Unlike last year, we only stopped in for pie which was actually kind of nice. Ms. P decided to have one of her toddler tantrums so it was a rough couple of minutes before the food came and turned her "No's" into signs for "Please" and "More." Unfortunately, THOP didn't have hubs favorite pie. Chocolate Peanut Butter so he decided to go with Banana Cream Pie. Ms. P loves nana's so of course she took to the pie quite quickly. I am not sure Dad got to eat much of his Father's Day treat. I ordered a bran muffin. They didn't have any sugar free pie so I figured bran would be healthier. The muffin was probably just as bad as the pie considering it tasted really good and was the best bran muffin I ever had. I didn't want to temp my health too much so I only ate half which was good because when the pie was gone Ms. P was still hungry so she finished off my muffin which tasted more like chocolate than bran. Despite's Ms. P's attitude it was a fun outing and we may have to make the pilgrimage to Los Feliz an annual tradition.

The hubby and I are starting the beginning phases of landscaping our backyard. Our first step, was to clean out the area behind our garage. When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. But after we cut a million vines with only a pair of clippers we gave up and decided to clean out the rest in the spring. Spring came around and we didn't do much until one day when I was sick a few weeks ago, I ran into our gardener. I showed him the mess and asked if he knew of anyone who could come clean it out. I could tell he was actually, quite happy for me to broach the subject of
