Baby's Room

....has been painted! Thanks in large part to my friend Rhonda who offered to come over and help me paint! Don't worry folks hubby bought non-toxic paint and I used a mask and Rhonda wouldn't let me bend or reach much. I just really wanted to take part in the room as I have been thinking about it for so long! Rhonda and I were able to tackle the bottom and some of the top (well, she tackled the top as there was no stepping on ladders for me!). There is just a small bit for hubby to do which he will finish this coming Monday!

The room is down to 3 pieces of furniture: the crib, a chair and my scrap booking table. The scrap booking table will go whenever someone strong and manly visits our residence to help hubby. I told hubby to ask our neighbor but he said he would like for our neighbors to like us and whomever moves that table will not like us. I don't think it is that heavy?!?

Anyhow, I am sooo excited to have the painting over because then I can start paying attention to room details. I think the first thing I will get is some decals from ETSY. I have some pretty cherry tress blossoms picked out. Whatever I decide I know it will be fun. I was so nervous about my pregnancy for months but I feel like I have let that go and I am totally immersing myself in all things baby. It's really quite fun once you get started!

Vaccine Part 1

As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen.  If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public.  Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me.  Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....

Random Thoughts as the Weekend Closes

Today I got a friend request from my mother-in-law. Will she embrace the FaceBook? We wait and see. Technology is cool...I got to speak to my friend in Hong Kong today. The BlindSide is a really heartwarming and good movie. I didn't know what to expect. I saw Sandra in blond hair and I thought cheesy. Now I can't decide whether I want her or Meryl to win the Oscar. Cats are really nice creatures. I haven't really had much exposure to one before. I especially like the fact that you can hold them like babies. I wonder if I stole Mr. Chuckles if anyone would notice? hum. Bartenders blowing fire makes for an interesting drink at the bar. Plantains are better when they come with your meal and not as an appetizer. I met a man who wanted to see Leap Year. Krueger continues to take jobs that suck ass and take up her precious time. Sorry CougarTown screwed ur day up Krugs. We missed u at the movies today. Ever since I got Mo I have meet the most interesting people ...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster. And the line...
