I came home from work the other night and low and behold hubby had a surprise for me. He had a set of brand new only 1000 in the world Ducktails Vinylmation. After an especially long and hard day it was a nice surprise. Ducktails had to be one of my all time favorite cartoons when I was a tween. I remember watching a lot of it after school in middle school. I can still recall the song in my head but mind you of course I probably don't remember the lyrics exactly as I should. Ducktails WooHoo!
My Vinyl addiction has now introduced me to another addiction and that would be eBay and "winning." Believe it or not I had only used eBay a handful of times before and usually I would use the "Buy It Now" function. I had never participated in an auction nor new how it worked. So of course there was something on eBay I wanted and I had to find out how "to win" so I enlisted Hubby' help with explaining the auction process. It took me probably 2-3 weeks before I completely understood what all the bidding meant. anyhow, the first Vinyl I bought on eBay was a Princess Leia figure for under retail.
After winning that I went into a flurry of "watching" aka marking items you want to track until the auction is over but work as you can imagine made me miss a lot of items I wanted. I was able to log on for 5 minutes one after just in time, with one minute left on the clock to bid for a Minnie Mouse figurine I desperately wanted and low and behold, I won.
Now I know why people called eBay evil because you can get a high off trying to beat other people. I try to use it for good deals or when I can't trade for something I want.
