Centered on Food

My life certainly has been centered on food lately! Who knew food could be such a hobby? I guess that's what is has been for me lately. In my quest to catch every food truck in LA I discovered one of my favorite trucks was near the Americana for today's Farmer's Market. So of course I had to go back and try some more of the menu! I dragged hubby out of bed, leashed up Moses and we headed to the Americana for some yummy grub at Baby's Badass Burgers. And boy were they ever Bad Ass!

YELP REVIEW Still a fan of their "juicy" and "cheesy" burgers after catching them a second time at the Americana's Farmers Market this weekend!! We hit the truck about a half hour before it closed and I am glad we did as there wasn't a huge wait.

This time around the hubby and I ordered the "Original Beauty" sliders and the "Cougar" sliders. As a side to our meat, we ordered sweet potato fries and the "pig tails" aka. curly fries.

I didn't think anything could be better than the "All American Girl" which I tried last time but apparently the "Cougar" and the "Original Beauty "are both as good, if not better, sliders! The "Cougar" sliders cost a little bit more ($9) than their other burgers but it's completely worth it! The $4 dollar difference gets you a second patty and in between those patty's are black truffles goodness! The "Original Beauty" was my favorite of this visit as it combined Swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushroom and their special sauce into a delectable little treat in my opinion. Now I only need to try the Mamacita.

For once, I can't decide if I like their curly fries or their sweet potato fries better! Both are excellent and perfectly seasoned. Overall, I am happy to report another good meal from this truck!

Behind Door Number One

Have you ever watched those TV Game shows where they have a couple of doors and behind one is a grand prize? Well, this weekend the hub and I found out what was behind our Door #1. The hubby and I are starting the beginning phases of landscaping our backyard. Our first step, was to clean out the area behind our garage. When we moved in, there was about 2 feet of walking space behind our garage the rest of the area was covered in vines. Vines were growing on the roof and generally it was a mess. Not wanting the vines to take over the roof, we I started to clear out the vines last fall. What is Twilight?

I have loved movies and worked in movies and I consider myself knowledgable about movies but I have no idea what this whole Twilight craze is all about. Do you? I know it's something to do about vampires and that it's the new Harry Potter but what the heck is it? All of the sudden everywhere I go I hear about Twilight. They are interviewing talent on the radio and I have no idea who these stars are. It's like Hollywood grew a new list of talent over night and didn't tell me. Anyhoo, that movie opened last night to gang buster numbers but yet, I have no idea. I have no idea about the Jonas Brothers either. Am I getting old? I guess so.
