I am not sure about you but doesn't it seem like a dud of a summer for movies? Are people just sick of sequels that they are not going to the movies anymore? There hasn't really been any break out hits so far. Iron Man 2 and Shrek 4 have done over $200M but they didn't open to expectations. Robinhood, Prince of Persia, A-Team, and Sex In the City 2 performed well under expectations. Are the movies just boring, are people tired of sequels, or is it just too expensive? I'd be interested in hearing what you guys think. Here's hoping Toy Story 3 and Eclipse can revive the summer box office.
