My Heart Is Breaking



This morning I was very sad to hear that my good friend, Cynthia Smith has passed away. I woke up and logged into FaceBook and there in the news feed were a million comments regarding Cynthia's surprise passing. I find myself constantly crying this morning remembering how very good this woman was to me. When I moved to Los Angeles in 1997 I was 21 years old. She was one of my bosses at AMC Theatres. I had moved to LA on my own and didn't have anyone but my AMC Family and Cythnia was the Mother Goose. I will write more later as I am begining to tear up again.

So sorry to hear. It is always hard to say goodbye to people we care. But remember we can always treasure the memories we shared with them. That's how their spirit can live within you. *hugs*

Thank you Toby that's so nice of you. I was able to have a moment this week and I feel like I was able to say goodbye. I am feeling better and know she in a safe place.

Safe travels home from South East Asia. Hopefully, we can see you really soon. Love your postcards. Keep em comin! Even the the vintage ones from the Philippines. Hehehe Miss you and big hugs!

As a little girl I would look on my mom’s arm and wonder why she had such a weird mark near her shoulder. A few days ago, as the warm solution penetrated my bloodstream, I started to cry remembering my mom’s mark. The nurse asked me if I was okay and I told her I was so incredibly happy. As a diabetic I was stressed never knowing if I was doing enough to avoid it but also, keeping some semblance of life in doing outdoor things. I cried because I am incredibly grateful to the SCIENCE that made this possible in only a year. Less time for me to worry about my only kiddo should the worse happen.  If ur on the fence...I’ve worked in entertainment for over 20 years and I’ve seen first hand how easy celebrities influence the public.  Some do good and others well...I’m happy to have a little bit of the gracious Dolly Parton with me.  Scientists on the other hand, very rarely get the recognition for their years of study, years of research and expertise contributing to (wo)mankind....

Surfing Goat Diary

We left the store and headed to the Surfing Goat Diary, again, this was a second trip for us but what was different this time is that we scheduled an hour long tour. Last time we arrive right before closing and were rushed. We spent a fair amount of time there exploring before the tour. We tried their cheesecake, we met the cats and dogs that roamed the place, we played in the playground, we pet and fed the baby goats that were penned up, and pursued the little store. Penny was eager to get her hands on the chocolate goat milk truffles. I must admit they did look good. I had my eyes on a t-shirt and a mug. Our tour started at 3:30pm that day and we met all the goats and learned all about the farm. But the most exciting part of the tour was getting the opportunity to milk the goats. Penny was quite a good milker. A friend later reminded me that Penny was breastfed (wink, wink). By the time the tour ended we were extremely hot. Maui was hot but also humid. We were ready to...

7th Birthday

Mark ur calendars, Dec 12 is an awesome day to go to Disneyland! There was no one at the park yesterday morning. We had 3 amazing hours 8am to 11am to ride! Some Disneyland records we set yesterday:  ✅A After many years, we finally got a wristband (and bought) a giant Disneyland candy cane.  ✅F First people on pirates of the carribean.  ✅ Line for Indiana Jones was 10 minutes long  😳  This never happens and we sat next to the people (strangers) who sat next to us on pirates b ut we did not walk over to the ride with them. ✅ By a fluke, we were also the first people on Big Thunder Mountain and kiddo rode in the cart by herself! (They opened late and we were in the right spot) ✅Kiddo  rode front seat on Matterhorn because a kind guy, his first visit, said he was too tall to sit in front and she wouldn’t be able to see sitting behind him ✅ Prode space mountain for the first time and huffed that it wasn’t scary and it was no IncrediCoaster.
