So for the past few weeks the hub and I have been doing some landscaping projects. This past weekend my husband's mission, should he choose to accept it, was to build a veggie/herb garden for me. Luckily for me he choose to accept the mission and unluckily for him a heat wave decided to set in upon Los Angeles. Despite the heat wave we went to Home Depo bought some plants for the flower bed we built last week and also some wood. We got home ripped out the roses and various weird plants growing on the side of the house. We replanted the roses elsewhere and got rid of the weird plants. We sprayed the newly plant free side of the house with poison so no weeds or grass or bushes would grow and the hub began his mission to build me a raised 8 foot box. the purpose of this box is to plant some herbs and veggies. I am sooo turning into my grandmother, an avid gardener...although, I haven't her knack of keeping things alive as well as she does. I am getting better though. Some of the plants and replants have lived. We finished the box this weekend and now I have been reading about herbs and veggies. Gots to see which dummy proof veggies I can grow. I did successfully grow some tomatoes last year so I am hoping for the best this year. Wish me luck!
When I was going to Michigan State University, my friends and I would always go to BW3's for hot wings. They always had a variety of flavored wings from Honey BBQ to steaming hot, hot, death wings. Wings and a beer were just the thing to satisfy a busy student's appetite. When we frequented BW3's it was a dive bar but by the time my brother graduated from MSU they swapped locations for a building across the street and turned the name to Buffalo Wild Wings and the restaurant became more like a chain thing. Well, color me shocked the other day when we went to the movies and I saw a Buffalo Wild Wings being built in the AMC Burbank 16 complex. Apparently, after looking on their website they are one of the fastest top 10 chains in the US. So of course I had to introduce the hubby to one of my favorite college treats. I don't think he is so much a fan of chicken wings so we got boneless chicken wings a.k.a. tasty little chicken chunks in two of the flavored sauc...
