Does a Monday morning ever go by without someone asking you how your weekend was? I got to work and was bombarded with the question and this week I didn't have a thing to say. Didn't feel good the whole weekend so we did nothing except managed to go grocery shopping, make a trip to Target and watch several epsiodes of Quantum Leap and Battlestar Gallactica. I found that when you don't have anything to say it's good to have at least a change in your appearance to deflect the pitty looks for not having done anything on your weekend. Luckily, I had a new hair cut and color job so I was able to skip the fact that I didn't have any exciting plans to report. Last week I awoke with that I can't this hair anymore attitude and booked an appointment. I went back to bright blonde as opposed to darker blonde with brown streaks I had for the wedding. It was refreshing to go get your hair done after spending the weekend in pain. Luckily for me, the new hair color must have done something to my stomache to make me feel better. Or maybe the chemicals they put on my head did something to make me feel better? Who knows? My pains are so random I am just glad they are gone. "Go to the Doctor" you say. I have gone several times but they never offer up anything to help so I choose to wait it out. It usually goes away with enough time and IBP. One fun thing we managed to do before the sickness of my stomache took over was through a dinner party last Thursday Night. My hubby dug up some Bobby Flay recipes and made a kick ass dinner, the Food Network would be proud of. Even his presentation got all A's. All the dinner guests were very impressed by his cooking and all asked to be invited again. I must say his peanut/bbq sauce for the shrimp skewers was the tastiest thing I have tasted in a while! I finally made those Sprinkes Cupcakes from the mix they sell at William Sonoma and man, oh man! were they ever good. I now have the secret to their frosting which may be dangerous for me!
When I was going to Michigan State University, my friends and I would always go to BW3's for hot wings. They always had a variety of flavored wings from Honey BBQ to steaming hot, hot, death wings. Wings and a beer were just the thing to satisfy a busy student's appetite. When we frequented BW3's it was a dive bar but by the time my brother graduated from MSU they swapped locations for a building across the street and turned the name to Buffalo Wild Wings and the restaurant became more like a chain thing. Well, color me shocked the other day when we went to the movies and I saw a Buffalo Wild Wings being built in the AMC Burbank 16 complex. Apparently, after looking on their website they are one of the fastest top 10 chains in the US. So of course I had to introduce the hubby to one of my favorite college treats. I don't think he is so much a fan of chicken wings so we got boneless chicken wings a.k.a. tasty little chicken chunks in two of the flavored sauc...
