14/12/10 Happy Times

Last year was Penny's first Easter Egg Hunt which was held at home. To celebrate her second year of hunting we went to two Easter Egg Hunts! The first one was at a park in the city of Pasadena. They filled a lot with 15,000 eggs. Within minutes all of the eggs were gone! I couldn't believe it. I thought Penny would get way more eggs than she did. The second hunt took place at her dad's family's house up in Sanger where the Easter "Chicken" came to the festivities.

My little helper assisted with the unpacking of the Easter Tubs from the garage. I think she found a few things she liked!

OMG, went to Polka tonight and stuffed myself silly with pierogis. I give myself 5 minutes before I enter a diabetic coma. Penny stuffed herself silly with custard and she's out for the count. Polish food and sleep, good combo.

Who doesn't like movie swag? Penny is the poster girl for my companies' first movie.

The Griffith Park Playground is a favorite playdate park for Penny and her pal, Logan, who she has known since they were 4 months old. Half way in between our house and their's it's a perfect meet up spot. They also like the the trains at Travel Town which is nearby. These two could really be brother and sister. They have such a cute relationship. They really get excited to see one another. It's so much fun to watch them interact. They truly care for one another. But heaven forbid when it comes time to leave. It's like pulling Penny away from her star cross lover! Tears are a plenty. I joke to Logan's mom that they met in heaven and are star cross lovers that found each other on earth at a movie studio no less. Here is a picture of them smiling. Aren't they the cutest?

One of Penny's favorite things to do is watch Disney movies on her iPad. Here is my littler watcher in deep thought.

Someone doesn't want to sleep in their crib anymore. Well, rather she knows how to climb out. So time to convert that crib to a toddler bed. Penny is our good little helper.

Sometimes I come home from work and I just want to bake. Tonight I got in the mood for cupcakes. So my little helper and I baked a few dozen cupcakes. We took the craziest ingredients in our cupboards to make a mishmash cupcake aka Lemon Cake, Chocolate Frosting, and a handful of chocolate chips. Oddly enough it was tasty. Here is the proof!
